MICROSOFT: New Halo heading to Xbox One in 2014

Master Chief will be back next year in the first next generation shooter of the series.

Microsoft announced a new Halo game will be coming to Xbox One in 2014. While not named, it’s a fair bet it will be Halo 5.

The game was introduced by 343 Industries boss Bonnie Ross, who promised "the next evolution in Halo combat", confirming the game would be "a Halo FPS for a new generation of hardware".

It was also confirmed that the next Halo will run at 60 frames per second.

Ross also mentioned that top-down Windows 8 shooter Halo: Spartan Assault will be available to play on the show floor this week.
