New look for Eurogamer

Popular UK-based consumer games site Eurogamer.net has gone live with its brand new look.

Launching simultaneously in ten languages, the site has been designed with three different versions now available – an HD mode for normal PC-based browsing as well as both portable and mobile versions.

Much of the homepage is dictated by the content being viewed most by users – a process the site describes as democratisation of content”.

Behind-the-scenes there has been additional work to ensure reliability and speed, thanks in part to a new networking infrastructure.

I’m proud that we have built the new Eurogamer around content and community,” Eurogamer Operations director Tom Bramwell stated.

We’re embracing HD and tailoring the full experience to multiple devices to match the rise of tablets, netbooks and smartphones. We can’t wait to hear what people think.”
