Dont mention Gran Turismo 5

With the new PSP Metal Gear Solid title catching most of the pre-E3 conference software hype for Sony’s portable at the moment, the fact that talk of Gran Turismo PSP has resurfaced has crept under many people’s radars.

The elusive racer was mentioned as part of John Koller’s leaked PSP Go video – which, incidentally, you should watch ASAP if you’ve not done so already as the numerous YouTube videos are disappearing fast.

MCV’s is still up and running for now, at least.

Interestingly, VG247 now claims that journalists lined up to speak with Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo mastermind Kazanori Yamauchi have been told that no mention of GT5 is to be made – presumably as Sony will want all of the focus on the PSP version.

Gran Turismo PSP was first mentioned in the pre-launch hype for the PSP way back in 2004. Since then, the game has seemingly taken a development back to seat to Gran Turismo 4, Gran Turismo HD, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and Gran Turismo Online.

The wait for GT5, meanwhile, looks like it could be a lengthy one.
