MGS Peace Walker to be revealed tonight

Konami’s upcoming PSP only Metal Gear Solid game will be called Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, and it will be unveiled at Sony’s E3 conference this evening, MCV understands.

Nothing else is known of the game, though it seems likely that it will be a fully fledged MGS outing and not a sequel to existing PSP properties Acid or Portable Ops.

At this rate there’s not going to be many surprises left for Sony’s 19:00 presentation later today.

Information about the PSP Go, a UMD-free version of Sony’s handheld, emerged at the weekend and MCV recently learnt that Sony will be announcing a WiiMote-style motion controlled peripheral, too.

Whether the PS3 version of Metal Gear Solid Rising, which was first revealed at Microsoft’s press conference last night, will be announced or not is yet to be seen – the possibility of a timed Microsoft exclusive could prevent this.
