Wii and DS sales revealed

The Nintendo Wii has now sold 67m units since it first went on sale in late 2006, the platform holder has revealed. As for the DS, its many guises have shifted have sold a total of 125m units since it first launched in late 2004.

The company has also published a regional breakdown for sales of each machine, which show that Europe has been the most successful region for the DS while American’s prove to be the most devoted Wii lovers.

Wii – 25.7m
DS – 50m

The Americas
Wii – 32m
DS – 45m

Japan
Wii – 9.7m
DS – 29.9m
