THQ giving away Red Faction Guerilla

In an unusual promotion in North America, publisher THQ has finally revealed the mystery freebie up for grabs to anyone who bought the console version of Darksiders – a courtesy copy of shooter Red Faction: Guerilla.

Upon opening their copies of Darksiders, consumers in the region were greeted with a gift code, the purpose of which wasn’t apparent.

Speaking on the Darksiders blog, the publisher has now revealed that the code can be used to obtain a free copy of Volition’s underrated third person action title.

Along with the game, those who redeem their code will also grab a disc packed with Darksiders extras.

The offer is only available in the US and runs until March 7th. Consumers must pay shipping costs.
