GAMEs Spanish consumer show attracts 40k

It might be the sixth-biggest software market in Europe, but Spain claims one of the biggest consumer shows for video games – and it’s run by GAME.

The first inaugural GAMEFEST 2010 came to a close on Sunday, October 10th, after attracting 40,000 consumers to its show in Madrid.

A big coup for the three-day event was an appearance by Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, on hand to promote Kinect to Spanish gamers.

Overall, the event featured a mix of trade and consumer elements, with a hugely busy expo, plus on-stage presentations, and even a cosplay competition.
