SONY: PS3 gets EA privileges

EA is to continue its ‘special relationship’ with Sony by offering extra content for three of its upcoming key releases on PS3.

Highly anticipated shooter Battlefield 3 will get a significant extra on the Blu-ray disc for no extra charge – a copy of Xbox Live and PSN hit Battlefield 1943.

Need for Speed: The Run will include an additional seven exclusive cars on the console, including the headline grabbing Bugatti Veyron. In addition, upcoming snowboarding title SSX will include a Mount Fuji level mapped from NASA satellite data.

Other publishers are on board, too, with THQ offering additional free content for action outing Saints Row 3.

And legendary developer Ken Levine also took to the stage to explain how Sony convinced him of the possibilities offered by PlayStation Move. As a result, Irrational Games’ BioShock Infinite will also support the controller.
