Next Batman Arkham Knight patch expected in August

A significant, but not final, fix for the PC version of Batman Arkham Knight will be released next month.

Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment, Rocksteady and our partners are targeting an interim patch update for existing players to be released in August,” the publishersaid. This update will address many of the issues we listed in our June 27th update. We will provide additional details as we finalize that interim patch over the coming weeks.

We would like to thank you for your continued patience and invaluable feedback. We are continuing to monitor and listen for any additional issues and are driving towards a full update for everyone as quickly as we possibly can.”

The aforementioned issues that could be addressed include menu support for frame rates above 30 fps, the low resolution texture bug, improved in-game performance, the significant RAM and VRAM leakage problems and support for SLI and Crossfire.

However, the use of the word ‘interim’ suggests that some issues will remain unsolved post-patch and a full fix could still be some way away. It was reported last week that Warner had told retailers the game wouldn’t be fit to be put on sale again until the autumn.

Arkham Knight was pulled from Steam shortly after release last month amid a strong backlash regarding its features and performance.

A patch for the game released last month has already addressed the missing ambient occlusion and rain texture visual effects.
