Resident Evil 6 gets 39/40 review score in Famitsu

Capcom’s Resident Evil 6 has been awarded a near-perfect 39/40 from weekly Japanese games bible Famitsu.

That’s one point better than Resident Evil 5 and ever so close to becoming only the publication’s 20th 40/40 title.

"The visuals are flashy and really thrilling," one of its first reviews states, as reported by Polygon. "You’ve got this feeling of dread as you and your partner proceed through some dark locale, but there are new types of horror here, like people on the street turning into zombies one after the other.

The creatures are pretty tough, and deciding when to fight and when to flee is important."

Another added: The heroes work at different aims, but they contact and fight alongside each other, which leads to some fun situations."

Resident Evil 6 releases in the UK on October 2nd. The US reviews for the game will go live the day before.
