Yakuza coming to PSP

Brand new handheld title Yakuza: Project K is currently in development according to pictures and details from Sega in Japanese games magazine Famitsu, making it the first PSP title in the series.

The game, first thought to be Yakuza 5 on PS3, was originally announced back in March at the Yakuza 4 launch party in Japan.

Series director Toshihiro Nagoshi will return to develop Yakuza: Project K but other details are scarce. It has not yet been confirmed whether the game will come to the UK.

Yakuza 3 was released in the UK last month and Yakuza 4 went on sale in Japan. The latter went on to shift 384,000 copies during its first week on sale, taking the top spot in the weekly software charts.
