Comic Relief and Twitch join forces to raise funds with eSports

Comic Relief has announced a new deal with Twitch that will see the two pair up for a series of streams to raise money for the charity.

The event known as GAMERAISERS kicks off later today and sees celebrities and popular gamers head to Twitch’s offices in London to play against each other. Over the next four days the likes of TV star Jamie Laing, Olympian Louis Smith, England footballers Dele Alli and Alex Scott, TV comedian Rob Beckett and Soccer AM favourite Adam Smith will all battle it out over multiple games while playing with or against the likes of s LT Zonda, Stodeh, MissEllaCronin and Spamfish.

Louis Smith said: “I’m a huge gamer and I’m really looking forward to taking on some of the pros and showing them what I’ve got. If you think you can take me on, put your money where your mouth is – it’s for a good cause after all.”

The streams will hope to raise awareness about the Comic Relief charity and youth homelessness in the UK.
