Xbox One nears 10m units shipped thanks to US price drop

The Xbox One is rapidly approaching 10m units shipped, Microsoft has revealed.

The firm announced on Xbox Wire that the milestone will be reached shortly, thanks in major part to the hardware’s recent price drop in the US.

Sales have skyrocketed since the new price took effect on Nov. 2. Compared to the previous week, Xbox One sales in the US have more than tripled,” Microsoft VP Yusuf Mehdi stated.

Sony’s PlayStation 4 reached the 10m sales mark as of August of this year, and hit 13.5m consoles soldas of October.
