Abzu shows underwater exploration, comes from the art director and composer of Journey

E3 2014: Former Journey devs working on new PS4 game

Two of the developers behind the critically acclaimed Journey are working on a brand new title for PlayStation 4.

Art director Matt Nava and composer Austin Wintory have formed their own studio Giant Squid and their first game was revealed during PlayStation’s E3 press conference.

Named Abzu, the title features a similar art style to Journey and seems to focus on underwater exploration. In the first footage, the player character could be seen swimming through an ocean teaming with fish, whales and other creatures.

The game will release on PlayStation 4 first before coming to other platforms, most likely Xbox One and PC.
