Battlefield 4 release date leaked by Xbox.com

Battlefield 4 arrives on 29th October, a post on Xbox.com has inadvertently revealed.

The date was listed in an Xbox.com blog post and then quickly removed, but it was up just long enough for a few eagle-eyed observers to pick up.

All Games Beta has published a screenshot of the blog post that originally read, Battlefield 4 will arrive on the Xbox 360 on October 29, 2013.” That line has now been edited to simply, Battlefield 4 is coming to the Xbox 360.”

The leaked date falls within the "fall 2013" release window that EA has officially announced for the game, and quite similar to Battlefield 3’s26thOctober release date in 2011.

Battlefield 4 was only revealed last week via a lengthy gameplay trailer and it will be powered by the new Frostbite 3 engine. Dragon Age 3 and the next Mass Efffect game will also use the new engine.

While Battlefield 4 has only been announced for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC so far, but it is also widely expected to release on next-gen consoles. The game will skip the Wii U though.
