Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare confirmed for PlayStation consoles

Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare will launch on both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 hardware in August, developer PopCap has confirmed.

The studio officially announced the editions for Sony’s PlayStation consoles, after having teased them late last week with a nod to Sony’s Sly Cooper. Both will launch on August 19th and include Remote Play compatibility with PS Vita devices.

The aforementioned tease was actually for a series of hat packs the PS3 and PS4 versions, which feature themed content from Sly Cooper, Fat Princess, and Ratchet and Clank. The hats and other customization content can be picked up by pre-ordering the title from various retailers.

Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare originally launched on Xbox 360 and Xbox One in February, and is out later this month on Windows PC.
