DS software sales hit 688m units

As DS hardware sales pass the 125m unit sales mark worldwide, Nintendo has revealed that DS software sales have now reached 688m globally.

Sales of Wii software now stand at 510m units – joining Wii hardware sales of 67m units.

New Super Mario Bros Wii, Wii Sports Resort and Wii Fit Plus have each now sold over 10m units – just as Nintendo president Saturo Iwata predicted they would in August.

Precise sales of each title are as follows:

New Super Mario Bros Wii – 10.5m
Wii Sports Resort – 13.5m
Wii Fit Plus – 10.1m
