New Angry Birds sells 1m

Finnish developer Angry Birds has revealed that Angry Birds Halloween, the latest version of its popular mobile game, has sold 1m copies on the Apple App Store after just six days on the market.

The download features 45 new levels and is compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. It’s currently No.1 in both the UK and US charts.

We’re delighted to see such fantastic reception for Angry Birds Halloween,” Rovio CEO Mikael Hed stated. We intend to continue creating more and more quality products and updates, and keep exceeding the expectations of our fans worldwide."

Angry Birds Halloween costs 59p and can be downloaded from the Apple App Store now.

It was reported in August that the original game, which is the only release in the series to be published by the now EA-owned Chillingo, has sold 6.5m units on the AppStore. The recently released free version for Android quickly raced to 2m downloads.
