Rovio reveals new medieval-themed Angry Birds

Rovio has unveiled a new addition to the Angry Birds franchise, releasing a short medieval-themed video teasing the new effort.

The video (embedded below) shows one of the birds in a full suit of armor, with the YouTube description adding:

Perhaps the most Epic soft launch ever – whatever that means!? Starting in Australia, Canada and New Zealand. Other countries to follow!”

Beyond that, there’s not much info to work off. Rovio did announce in February that Angry Birds Stella will see release this fall, but it’s remains unclear if it has any relation with this most recent tease – or if the two items in question are entirely separate products.
