Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 launches in February

EA and Popcap’s surprise hit Plants vs Zombies shooter spinoff Garden Warfare will receive a sequel release in early 2016.

PvZ Garden Warfare 2 will feature the 24-player Herbal Assault mode, 4 player co-op Graveyard Ops mode, a dozen new multiplayer maps, six new character classes, and over 100 unique collectable characters.

EA has announced those who pre-order the game will receive the Grass Effect Z7-Mech when booting up the game for the first time. The in-game exclusive is inspired by fellow EA studio Bioware and its Mass Effect franchise.

Pre-order customers will also receive an emoji-style pack that offers 14 accessories for customizing each character class.

Garden Warfare 2 will launch February 23rd on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Here’s the announcement trailer:
