Industry veteran becomes EVP and Chief Competition Officer for the 'Competitive Gaming Division'

Peter Moore heads up EA’s new eSports division

Current EA COO Peter Moore has landed a new role at the publisher, heading up a brand new eSports division.

Its official name is the EA Competitive Gaming Division (CGD), and Moore’s new title is Executive Vice President and Chief Competition Officer. His aim is to further the eSports aspirations of titles such as FIFA, Madden and Battlefield.

Reporting to Moore will be Todd Sitrin, a marketer who has been at EA for 14 years. He assumes the role of senior VP and GM.

EA boss Andrew Wilson has said the new business will be build around thee principles – competition, community and entertainment.
