PopCap senior manager Bilas joins GameAnalytics

Denmark-based company GameAnalytics has announced the appointment of PopCap’s Allison Bilas as its new vice president of product.

Bilas joined PopCap in 2010 as a social games business analyst, later rising to become senior manager of the studio’s game analytics department. She’s credited for several titles, including Bejeweled Blitz and Plants vs Zombies 2.

"The function of game analytics is deep in my blood," Bilas said. "I am intimately familiar with what it means for game teams to use data to understand the behavior of their players and monetisers."

GameAnalytics was formed in 2012, and launched its free analytics service for developers in 2013. Thus far, the service has been utilized for more than 6,500 titles.

"We’re very excited to have Allison join our team," GameAnalytics CEO Morten E. Wulff added. "Her pedigree is top-notch, and her passion for video games and player behavior analysis is palpable."
