Dragon Ball Xenoverse ships 1.5m units worldwide

Bandai Namco’s latest Dragon Ball title Xenoverse has shipped 1.5m units globally.

The game launched on February 27th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. It debuted at third place in the GfK Chart-Track Top 40. It also topped the global Steam charts for the week ending March 7th.

I would like to thank everyone for their support on this new challenge. We decided to take a risk and create a completely new concept to entertain our fans and Dragon Ball lovers and we are quite proud of the successful result," said the game’s producer Masayuki Hirano.

"On a more personal note, I feel honoured to create a game around a licence as massive as Dragon Ball. On behalf of Bandai Namco: thanks for your amazing support. We will continue working and reaching new heights.”
