Green Man Gaming opens US office

UK digital retailer Green Man Gaming is expanding its operations in a bid to crack America.

The firm, which sells both downloads and boxed products online, has opened a new office in California which will allow GMG?to better handle sales in the US.

In line with our expansion strategy, we recently incorporated Green Man Gaming in the US and opened our new office in Santa Monica,” said GMG marketing EVP Darren Cairns.

The US market is really important to us and having a local presence is essential if we are to continue to look after our increasing base of customers and partners.”

Based in London, Green Man Gaming already sells video games to customers in almost 90 countries.

The firm says its offer of letting consumers trade in digital games against future purchases means it is already attracting US consumers.

Meanwhile, GMG founder and CEO Paul Sulyok has been nominated for an Entrepreneur of the Year award.

He is a finalist in the London & South region, and goes up against execs from Carte Blanche, Secret Escapes, La Fosse Associates and Zoopla.

The winners will be announced on Thursday, June 27th.
