Official Angry Birds theme park opens in China

A theme park based on Rovio’s Angry Birds series has opened in China.

Kotaku translates a report stating that the park’s grand opening to the public took place last week. The park ran a soft launch in late September, and officially opened on China’s National Day (October 1st).

The theme park includes dozens of Angry Birds attractions – such as a music stadium, castle, and parkour activity park – across 10,000 square meters of space.

Playable Angry Birds video games are also rigged up to play on hardware throughout the premises, and there are plenty of stands offeirng franchise merchandise for sale as well.

The Haining-based location marks the first officially licensed Angry Birds theme park, though an unlicensed park that used the Angry Birds IP opened last summer in Changsha, China.
