Volume is getting a PlayStation VR expansion

Mike Bithell’s PlayStation and PC stealth outing Volume is to receive a free expansion designed for Sony’s virtual reality headset PlayStation VR.

Volume: Coda takes place after the events of the main game, with players controlling a brand new character. It boasts 30 levels, a new cast and a new setting. Furthermore, once the expansion has released owners will be able to play both it and the entire original game in VR.

Note – Coda is coming first” to PlayStation VR, meaning an arrival on other VR headsets is also planned.

Bithell added that the Vita version of Volume is still without a release date. We’ve hit some roadblocks, which slowed us down,” he explained. Rushing out a weak port wasn’t an option, and I’m proud of what the team have managed to squeeze into that awesome little platform. Cannot wait for you folks to be able to check it out, and it doesn’t look like it’ll be too much of a wait.”

He also confirmed that the Vita release will include the Checkpoints update already released for other platforms.
