Studio behind virtual reality multiplayer FPS receives funding from World Innovation Labs

$2m investment for VR dev Reload Studios

Los Angeles-based developer Reload Studios has secured investment of $2m towards its current virtual reality project.

The funding was awarded by technology investment firm World Innovation Lab, GamesIndustry reports, and will be used to continue development on World War Toons, a multiplayer FPS designed for VR devices.

Reload Studios was founded last year by former Infinity Ward developer Taehoon Oh, who said: “We’re thrilled to be working with investors who truly believe in the future of what we are doing.”

CEO James Chung added: “We are extremely excited to be collaborating with WiL. Their support will help us focus on developing and promoting our current projects as well as growing Reload beyond just a development studio.”
