London studio opens 36 job vacancies

Candy Crush dev King hiring 165 new staff

Candy Crush Saga developer King is recruiting 165 new staff to expand its development operations.

The hiring run stretches across professions such as development, art and design, data analytics and marketing.

Roles are available at the firm’s offices in Barcelona, Berlin, London, Malmo, Malta, Romania, San Francisco, Seoul and Stockholm.

There are currently 36 vacancies available at the company’s London studio.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the 165 vacancies represents 25 per cent of its existing workforce.

A number of the roles that make up the recruitment drive come from King’s recently announced 12-week developer internship program in Europe. The internships will begin from July 2014.

Last week King launched its IPO, but shares have since fallen in value from the $22.50 price initially set. By the end of Friday shares slumped to $18.08.
