British racing specialist calling for testers to play unannounced games

Codemasters seeks project testers for potential Grid 3

Rumours are rife that Grid 3 is on the way now that Codemasters is looking for more testers.

The British developer and publisher, which specialises in racing games, called for testers through its community blog, promising successful applicants will be invited to work at its Southam HQ.

"We’ve said before that we’ve really focused on getting your feedback about our games," it reads. "Well, one of the initiatives we’re keen to launch is to get you guys involved at a much earlier stage. Earlier, even, than announcement…"

The Grid 3 speculation comes from various Grid 2 references in the blog post, including the requirement of a one sentence review for Grid 2 in each application. The blog post also gives the game’s demolition derby DLC as an example of how it is trying to tailor the series according to player feedback.

Whether or not this does turn out to be Grid 3, the main point is testers have the chance to work on Codemasters’ next big racing game before the rest of the world even knows what it is.
