Bach looking to spend more time with his family after launch of Battlefield 1

DICE GM Patrick Bach steps down

EA has confirmed the rumours that Dice ganeral manager Patrick Bach is stepping down after nearly 15 years with the developer, best known for its work with the Battlefield franchise.

Bach joined Dice in 2002, four years before EA acquired the studio, and has spent most of his time working with the studio’s premier franchise, Battlefield, having just shipping the alternate-history WW1 shooter BF1 as his final project with Dice.

Playstation Lifestyle confirmed the news, adding a quote from EA Worldwide Studios EVP, Patrick Söderlund: "Patrick Bach has been a great colleague to many across DICE and EA for almost 15 years"

"We thank him for all of his contributions, especially to our Battlefield franchise and community, and wish him all the best on his next adventure."

Bach served as writer, designer and producer on the original Bad Company Battlefield spin-off. In a statement Bach said: “I’ve had an epic ride at DICE and EA, filled with amazingly creative and passionate people, and unforgettable experiences with our player community. I’ll certainly be playing Battlefield 1 for a long, long time to come, and I look forward to seeing what’s next from the incredible team at DICE.”
