Official Facebook page asks fans to tune into Nintendo's E3 conference tonight

E3 2012: EA readies Mass Effect Wii U reveal

EA is set to announce Mass Effect for the Nintendo Wii U after teasing the potential reveal on the official Mass Effect Facebook page.

The German page told fans to “not forget” to tune into Nintendo’s E3 conference, hinting that the game announcement is imminent.

The game will likely be Mass Effect 3, with tweaks made to make it more suitable to the unique Wii U GamePad. There could also be the possibility that Mass Effect 1 and 2 may also be in development for the system.

EA CEO John Riccitiello confirmed at last year’s E3 the publisher’s support for the Wii U, stating the new console would mark an "unprecedented" partnership between the two companies.

"This a breakthrough in our relationship based on a breakthrough in games development," he said.

"We look forward to seeing great EA content on this innovative new platform. Nintendo’s next console is truly transformational, a better platform than we’ve ever been offered by them before."
