Popcap launching third-person action title in Plants vs. Zombies franchise

E3 2013: EA unveils Garden Warfare, Peggle 2

The company that created Peggle has turned over a new leaf and is releasing a third-person action title based on the Plants vs. Zombies franchise.

PopCap’s first entry into the multiplayer action arena is suitably adorable, but is a surprise lead for EA’s E3 conference.

Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare is powered by the Frostbite engine and will appear first on the Xbox One, with a port for the 360 to follow.

PopCap also announced Peggle 2, but has not provided further details.
