Additional teams to support work-for-hire business, creation of new IP and ChilliWorks

Scottish dev Tag Games doubling team to 70 staff this year

Scottish game developer Tag Games has expanded its office in Dundee as it aims to double its headcount from 35 employees to 70 this year.

Studio CEO Paul Farley said the new employees will help the company continue expanding its work-for-hire business, develop its own IP and also continue building its new tools business ChilliWorks.

“The time is right for us to scale our team in Dundee,” he said, as reported by The Courier.

“Following key hires, we’ll be building additional teams around three core areas of our business: partnership, own IP and technology.

“Technology has been a fundamental part of our investment into games as a service. Our first major milestone for 2015 was launching ChilliSource, our free open-source game engine, and we have more products from the ChilliWorks suite in development for release later this year.”
