Unity 5 tech demo now available to download and install

Unity releases Blacksmith demo and assets

The Blacksmith demo shown at GDC is now available to download for Unity 5.0.

The short film is rendered in real-time, showing off many of the engine’s new features, can be found at www.unity3d.com/blacksmith, the firm announced during its Unite Europe keynote.

Users will be able to install the demo and scrub through it, altering the camera angles to better see the effects in play.

Unity has also made the asset package used to build to the demo available on the Asset Store, enabling developers to get in-depth with the various elements of the environment, characters and more.

Unity says the demo is designed to show the level of visual fidelity Unity 5.0 is capable of and that users can aspire to for their own games.
