New trailer shows first gameplay footage from next-gen time travel action game

VIDEO: Quantum Break is “the ultimate Remedy experience”

Remedy Entertainment believes Quantum Break will be the best title the studio has ever produced, even describing it as the "ultimate Remedy experience".

In a new trailer that debuted at this year’s Spike VGX Awards, creative director Sam Lake said the Xbox One title draws heavily on lessons the Finnish firm learned on its biggest previous projects; namely the storytelling of Alan Wake and the cinematic action of Max Payne.

The footage, which can be viewed below, also offers the first glimpse at the gameplay for the ambitious time travel game. In Quantum Break, players will investigate anomalies of ‘broken time’ and develop the abilities to manipulate time itself.

Quantum Break was announced at E3 this year as an Xbox One exclusive and will tie in with a TV series of the same name, with events from one reflected in the other and vice versa.

It uses the facial performance capture technology of Scottish firm Dimensional Imaging.
