XaitMap and xaitControl for Unity to be compatible iOS, Android and Unity Web Player from May

Xaitment adds mobile support to AI plug-ins

Xaitment is to bring its AI tools to mobile platforms from the beginning of next month.

The middleware firm will be releasing xaitMap and xaitControl for Unity, and will be compatible for iOS, Android and Unity Web Player.

The add-ons were previously released in February, but only supported the creation of AI for PC titles.

Features of the software include NavMesh generation, pathfinding, collision avoidance and graphical character behavioural modelling.

“We knew when we launched our AI products for Unity that mobile platforms were extremely important,” said xaitment CEO Mike Walsh.

“Given the positive feedback we received at this year’s GDC, and subsequent requests for mobile platform support, we’ve made the launch of iOS, Android and Web Player versions of our Unity plug-ins our number one development priority.”
