VP of games replaces outgoing co-founder and chief Jason Avent

Zynga exec Chris Plummer takes over Boss Alien

CSR Racing developer Boss Alien has a new studio head.

Chris Plummer is VP of games at the dev’s parent firm Zynga, and has now stepped in following the news that former boss Jason Avent had left the company.

Zynga issued a statement, revealing that Plummer had been “leading the team over the last few months” in the lead-up to Avent’s departure.

It added reassurance that the move was “part of a planned transition for the studio and team” known about for months, rather than a shock quit.

“Chris is an experienced, well regarded leader at Zynga and NaturalMotion, having been with the company for nearly two years,” it said. Plummer also has experience with DeNA, and spent 13 years at EA.

Boss Alien is currently working on sequel CSR Racing 2, due for release later this year.
