Tiger Woods 11 supports PS3 Arc

EA has announced that Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 will offer support for Sony’s as-of-yet undated PS3 Motion Controller.

However, the game won’t be supporting Microsoft’s Xbox 360 Natal. A rep for the publisher told VG247 that this is purely down to the timing of the game’s release – an odd reason, considering that both devices had until now been expected to arrive this Q4.

And we already know that EA is working on games for Microsoft’s device.

The conclusion to be drawn? Either that Sony’s Motion Controller – which we have confirmed will come in two-parts much like the Wii’s – is closer to launch than we think or that Natal is that much trickier to develop for.

Or, perhaps, that Microsoft is preparing a first party golf game for Natal’s launch?

A North American release date for Tiger Woods 11 of June 8th was also confirmed, meaning a likely European arrival on June 11th for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and iPhone owners.
