EA inviting Euro media pitches

Rapidly evolving publisher EA is reportedly sending out pitch requests to a number of agencies as it looks to consolidate its estimated 80m European media planning account.

MediaWeek reports that MediaCom is currently EA’s incumbent UK agency whilst a variety of firm’s handle the publisher’s European operations.

The consolidation of this element of EA’s business across the region ties in with a string of structural changes and job cuts at EA over the last 12 months.

The period has also seen EA make its first strides into the emerging social games market with the acquisition of PlayFish.
